The place

The most accessible cave in Vang Vieng: concrete steps, electric lighting and a viewpoint over the valley from the mouth. A spring at the base is swimmable. Because it is lit and stepped it stays a reasonable option in heavy rain, when the lagoons and viewpoints do not.
Getting there.
About 2 km south of town, walkable in 25 minutes or a short tuk-tuk ride.
Good to know.
Around 150 steps up to the entrance. Lighting is switched on by the ticket office — if it is dark, ask.
